We constantly lie to ourselves to make ourselves look better, to gain people's approval and acceptance. Yet self-acceptance is the key to unlocking our vulnerabilities and embracing our existence, putting an end to our struggles with body image and insecurities.
I wish that intimacy was a mother's legacy to her children. Intimacy for their bodies, their gender, their identity, their sexuality. To feel safe, to choose to be themselves. To feel that they have a choice.
